Everything MUST be safe, natural, vegan, premium grade, from sustainable resources, and proven to be effective. Simples.
All testing starts with me. Yep, I put my money where my mouth is and test all products on myself (and anyone else who happens to be around) before moving onto dogs. I work my way through different recipes until I find the ONE that has me jumping up and down and shouting I’ve cracked it!!
It’s not as risky as it might sound, for example all my shampoo bars start with a tried, tested, certified base with additions that are also safe for dogs (and humans!) in the quantities they are added. There are absolutely no nasty ingredients, however what is safe for us isn’t always safe for dogs, and all ingredients used are thoroughly researched to ensure they are safe and effective.Â
The shampoo bars are too moisturising for everyday human use, but work well as an overnight treatment! Honestly, what my partner has to put up with is hilarious. Even more hilarious when he uses the Pup Suds bar that is sat by the bath that I’m testing on himself by mistake. At least there aren’t any fleas on him now…
The Coat Oil is an absolutely super duper hair oil for us hoomans as well as dogs (two pumps, rub in your hands and add to damp hair from the mids to the ends). In fact it’s so good I haven’t used my usual preferred brand of hair oil since testing my final recipe (no 4 if you want to know) … because I’m worth it! It’s also a very luxurious and effective body oil.
And as for the Nose & Paw Balm, well that is fantastic for cuticles, any dry patches of skin, and as a lip balm. A pot sits on my desk and I use when necessary.
It’s lovely to know the ingredients and origins – no sulphates, no silicons, made with care and consideration.Â
Getting to play with lots of natural, amazing smelling, effective ingredients, means that I now make a few things for family and friends for themselves – it’s the happy by-product of creating Pup Suds for the pooches!
No Dogs Were Harmed in the Making of Pup Suds!! Humans on the other hand… ????
